POLICE are appealing for information after a rare artefact was stolen from the Medieval Village at Cosmeston.
A Bassinet helmet was taken by thieves who broke into an old stone barn at the village between 5pm on Sunday, November 11 and 8am the following morning.
A relatively light helmet, the Bassinet has a rounded or pointed top and was used in the middle ages.
Six wooden arrows were also taken.
