CARDIFF Bus has launched a unique competition to help say thanks to fathers across Cardiff and the Vale.

After the success of its Mother’s Day competition, the local bus operator is giving members of the public a once in a lifetime opportunity to name a bus after their dad this Father’s Day.

Those wishing to publicly show appreciation of their dads are encouraged to enter the ‘Thank You, Dad’ competition for the chance to have their Dad’s name displayed on a dedicated bus for a week and a personal message to their Dad on the on-board media screens.

The lucky Dad will also win a backstage guided tour of the Wales Millennium Centre and lunch in Ffresh, a family day ticket for World of Boats and the opportunity to have a photo taken with his personal bus. The entry in second place will win a meal for five at Top Gun Fish and Chip restaurant in Cardiff Bay and a family ticket for a day at World of Boats. Eight runners up will also get family tickets for World of Boats.

Cardiff Bus’ marketing assistant, Carys Roberts, said: “It’s often hard to find a gift that really shows how much you appreciate your dad. After all the wonderful entries we had for Mother’s Day, and seeing how happy the winner was, we wanted to give the people of Cardiff and the Vale the opportunity to publicly show appreciation of their dads this Father’s Day. One lucky winner can show the whole of Cardiff just how much their dad means to them with our unique competition.”

To enter send your name, contact details and why you want to publicly thank your dad in less than 50 words to win@cardiffbus.com by Tuesday 10th June.
