Police are further appealing for more CCTV footage.
A South Wales Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating a number of attempted burglaries on Cliff Side, Penarth, after a member of the public has captured three men on his CCTV trying door handles in the early hours of Tuesday, May 2.
“Further enquiries led to CCTV capturing the suspicious men doing similar on Forrest Road and Millards Haven.”
The police want more CCTV footage to help their investigation
Detective Sergeant Darryl Griffiths said the behaviour of the men was concerning.
“We are concerned by the suspicious activity of these men, and we are appealing for further ring door-bell footage to help our investigation,” said Sergeant Griffiths.
Police say neighbourhood officers regularly patrol the affected areas, but they ask residents to remain vigilant and ensure that appropriate security measures are taken.
