IN A VERY one-sided Bank Holiday Sunday game, Sully Spartans were beaten by 6 wickets at the hands of Cardiff Highways.
Once again inept batting by all except two of the Spartans batsmen led to a miserable and embarrassing total of 73.
After the loss of an early wicket, D Morgan 24 and A Angove 24 put on 48 for the second wicket and at 52-1 a respectable total looked on the cards, but after both were dismissed by good deliveries from Evans 3-10, the usual collapse followed and only 21 more runs were added.
In reply only M Coran 2-23 and Sam German 1-24 gave the Highways batsmen any problems.
Spartans: D Morgan 24, A Angove 24.
Cardiff Highways: M Coran 2-23, D Morgan 1-16, S German 1-24.
