SPRINKS Neil Whitby Passed away at Springbank Nursing Home on the 12th February, 2024, Neil, aged 93 years. Beloved husband of Anne, loving Dad of Carol and Jackie; wonderful Grandad of Kathleen, Bethan, Alice, Neil and Laura; a cherished Great Grandad of Jake, Nathan, Elizabeth, Hollie, Betsan, Lucas, Bertie, Matilda, Anwen and Miles and a much respected Father In Law and Grandfather In Law of Truc, Nadean, James. Dani, Adam and the late Kevin. Neil will be forever missed by his loving family. Resting at A J Stone and William Ham Funeral Directors, 1a Neville Street, Canton, Cardiff, CF11 6LP, until his funeral service on Wednesday, 6th March at the Cardiff and Glamorgan Crematorium, Barry at 11am. Family flowers only, donations, if so desired, can be made to a charity of your choice.

So sorry to hear the sad news - only just received via the IRRS website. Neil was a good friend and we both shared a great love of the erstwhile Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway. His knowledge of that railway was vast - so much so that if he could not supply a quick answer to a question, then in all likelihood, you probably did not need to know it! He will be greatly missed, both for his knowledge and his kindness.
