CHILDREN will be able to enjoy a day of fun-filled activities during the school summer holidays.
BulliesOut, usually known for its work in schools, workplaces and online against bullying, is holding the activity day at Penarth Community Centre, Brockhill Way, Penarth, on Thursday, August 8, for local schoolchildren.
The Cardiff-based charity will be entertaining schoolchildren with arts and crafts, painting and cake decorating as well as games, activities and competitions. There will be two sessions on each day, from 10.30am until 12.30pm and 1.30pm until 3.30pm, which will cost £2.50 per child per session. Sessions will be aimed at children aged between five and 15 years old.
Linda James, CEO and founder of BulliesOut, said: "The six weeks of the holidays can seem to drag on, for both the children and their parents, so we want to help by offering them a few hours of activity.
"By encouraging the children to play together, work in groups and make friends, we will also be teaching them a valuable lesson about friendship."
BulliesOut works with the bullied, bullies and bystanders to raise awareness, educate and provide support which can prevent bullying in schools and workplaces.
