WAVES have been hammering Penarth Pier as Storm Eleanor continues to batter coasts around the UK.
The storm which arrived this week has caused power outages, travel disruption and damage across the country.
Yesterday (January 3) fire crews were called to make safe a shop sign which fell down due to high winds in Cornerswell Road.
Crews were also called out today to deal with loose roof tiles on a building in Windsor Road.
The road was closed for a short time by police and Cardiff Bus tweeted that their 92,93 and 94 services had been diverted via Plassey Street and Albert Road but have since returned to normal operations.
