PENARTH Esplanade will be closed to traffic next week, so that work can be carried out by the Vale of Glamorgan council.
From Monday, February 22 to Friday, February 26, Marine Parade to the junction of Bridgeman Road will be closed, as well as Cliff Road, so that the roads can be resurfaced.
Signs in the area say that work will commence everyday at 8am and finish at 5pm.
This comes as South Wales Police and council officers have been patrolling the Esplanade each weekend for possible coronavirus breaches.
One weekend, the road was closed due to the sheer number of people gathering there.
Wales is currently under Tier Four lockdown restrictions, which means no-one can travel to the pier by vehicle for exercise or to socialise.
