HERE are some of the localised coronavirus statistics for Penarth and surrounding from March 20 to March 26.
The figures from Public Health Wales (PHW) have shown which areas have the highest and lowest rates of coronavirus cases in recent days.
The new figures focus on areas containing around 2,000-6,000 households (known as Middle Layer Super Output Areas, or MSOAs) and are based on rolling case rates for the past week, the past 21 days, and since the pandemic began.
Across the Vale, Ogmore-by-Sea and Llandow and Cowbridge had the highest weekly case rate in the week from March 20 to March 26 with 66.2 and 62.1 cases per 100,000. The number of cases confirmed in both areas was four.
Other figures are:
- Lower Penarth and Sully had 0-2 new cases with a below 20 rolling case rate
- Penarth had 0-2 new cases with a below 19 rolling case rate
- Dinas Powys had 0-2 new cases with a below 25 rolling case rate
- Llandough and Cogan had 0-2 new cases with a below 23 rolling case rate
- Llantwit Major had 0-2 new cases with a below 23 rolling case rate
