MASS participation running events - such as park run Penarth and Barry - will be making a return this weekend.
Run 4 Wales (R4W) last week announced the return of live events, and following the easing of restrictions on outdoor events, with additional measures in place to protect health and safety.
The Cosmeston Lakes parkrun in Penarth will be welcoming back runners on Saturday, August 21, as well as Barry Island parkrun.
In a message on Facebook, Cosmeston Lakes parkrun said: "It’ll be 17 months between Cosmeston Lakes parkruns 13 and 14, and so it’s finally time to clean the mud off your running shoes and have a rummage round for your barcode.
"Don’t leave it until the last minute!"
There will be some rules and restrictions in place to ensure that all volunteers and runners are kept as safe as possible and to minimise the potential risk of Covid transmission.
