Catherine Smith, a resident near the Northcliff/Paget Place area, said she had no water for a few hours and when she did it was "brown" and "foul smelling".
However, she said that has now cleared but that the water pressure from a cold tap is "still very dodgy" and "jumping from low to high."
Welsh Water added: "Following the repair work, some residents may notice that their water supply is discoloured or has a milky, cloudy appearance due to the water being aerated.
"If you experience any discolouration, please run the supply from your cold kitchen tap for a while to help it clear."
