THE number of coronavirus cases in the Vale of Glamorgan increased by 455 over the weekend, official figures show.
A total of 12,826 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in the Vale of Glamorgan when the UK coronavirus daily dashboard was updated on September 27 (Monday), up from 12,371 on Friday.
Public Health Wales said that cases reported on Mondays will be for a 48-hour period so are likely to be much higher than the usual 24-hour figures.

The rate of infection in the Vale of Glamorgan now stands at 9,480 cases per 100,000 people, lower than the Wales average of 10,957.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 100,228 over the period, to 7,701,715.
