PEOPLE in Penarth have the chance to meet Derek the weatherman this weekend.
Derek Brockway has made quite a splash in the weather world – following 30 years of working at Met Office he joined the BBC back in 2016.
The Welshman is also a keen walker – having recently launched a book on walking Weatherman Walking: The Welsh Coast which features guided walks of Wales’ Coast Path and offers walkers’ of all ages to discover new routes and places of interest along the way.
On Saturday (October 30) he will be at Griffin Books, on Windsor Road, to sign copied of his latest book, as well as previous titles in the series.
The day will give people the opportunity to meet him and have a chat about their favourite Welsh walks.
Tickets are not needed, just pop in on Saturday October 30 between 12pm and 1pm.
Derek’s no stranger to the Vale of Glamorgan; earlier this year he joined Ramblers Cymru on a walk from Merthyr Mawr to Southerndown – one of the rambles features in his latest book. He also took a stop to sign copies of his book at Barry shop Homemade Wales.
