THE Vale of Glamorgan Council has announced it has secured funding to improve the entrance to Cosmeston Country Park.
The funding will go towards upgrading the entrance area to the lake and toilet blocks.
There will be new surfacing, signage, seating and a canopy shelter will be constructed.
Construction will begin on Valentine's Day - Monday, February 14 - and will continue for six weeks.
The Vale council said on social media that although workers will try to maintain access to the toilets, there may be times that they will be locked off.
The council advises that the toilets in the cafe building will always be available.
To access the board walk, visitors must enter via the rear of the cafe.
This is because for the duration of the construction, the jetty entrance to the board walk will be closed.
