THE Vale of Glamorgan Council has confirmed that benches along Paget Road will be replaced later in the year.
The benches were removed several months ago, leaving residents confused about why they were taken and if they would be replaced.
Paget Road has great views and the benches were a popular location for locals to take in the scenery and have a rest.
Now the Vale council has said that the benches overlooking the marina and Cardiff Bay were removed so viewing platforms could be upgraded.
The upgraded platforms will feature new seating and will be open in May this year.
A Vale of Glamorgan Council spokesman said: "These benches have been removed while the two viewing platforms on Paget Road are upgraded.
"The improved viewing platforms are set to return in May and will feature new bespoke seating."
