A MONTHLY series of concerts at Penarth Pavilion will be starting this week with the Cynefin Trio.
The concert series will be held on Fridays in the gallery and is intended to be an informal event for people to enjoy muscial culture and the views from the pier.
Doors will open on March 11 at 2.30pm ahead of a 3pm start and 4pm finish.
The Cynefin Trio is led by James Bessant-Davies, principal clarinetist of Cardiff University’s Orchestra, who is joined by Laurie Rich on piano and Lily Rayner on cello.
They offer a programme of classical and light music from Wales and the European tradition.
Guests will be offered tea, coffee and a slice of cake to enjoy during the concert.
The Café Concerts programme for this year includes a variety of music including professional classical musicians, songs from the shows, jazz, singers and instrumentalists.
Tickets for the event on Friday cost £7.25, which includes tea or coffee and a cake plus a booking fee and can be purchased here.
