PENARTH will be joining more than 1,500 towns in the UK in lighting a beacon to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June.
Elizabeth II will become the first British monarch to reign for 70 years next month, and a free event is planned in Penarth on June 2.
The beacon at Cliff Top will be lit by the mayor at 9.45pm.
Following this, there will be a fireworks display.
All are welcome to attend the event.
This has been organised by Penarth Town Council alongside Penarth Youth Action and is funded by an award from the National Lottery Community Fund.
