A FLAT in Penarth is going up for auction later this month and the guide price is less than £50,000.
The four bedroom property has a guide price of £49,000 and is located on Hickman Road.
Right in the middle of Penarth, the flat is on the two upper floors of a semi-detached house.
The price may appear something of a steal as, according to Rightmove, the average property price in the seaside town is £375,622, albeit that the typical home sold is a terrace rather than a flat.
The flat is being auctioned by Auction House South Wales between Monday, May 16 at 12pm to Wednesday, May 18 also at 12pm, and may well go for over the guide price.
Although located in a desirable area, the property will need some serious refurbishment.
The walls will need plastering in every room, judging by the images shown, as well as a host of other refurbishment work.
However, once the refurbishment is done the property could be very smart indeed.
There are three bedrooms on the split level first floor, as well as a bathroom, kitchen and lounge.
This is accessed by an external staircase at the side of the building.
The top of the flat houses the fourth bedroom.
