WINDSOR Road was closed for about half an hour by South Wales Police this morning - here's why.
The road was closed from about 9.30am on Monday, May 9, after officers attended the location with concerns for the welfare of a man living there.
To avoid safety issues, the decision was taken to close the road.
The closure caused some issues with traffic as vehicles were diverted away from the area.
A spokeswoman from South Wales Police said: "Police attended Windsor Road, Penarth, just before 9.30am this morning after concerns was raised for the welfare of a man at the location.
"The road was closed for around half an hour to allow the matter to be resolved safely.
"A 40-year-old man has been taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff."
