A number of people from Penarth have been convicted of speeding recently.
Some drivers from outside the area have also appeared in court for speeding offences committed in Penarth.
Mosan Alksandro, 29, of Clos Dewi Sant, Riverside, was found guilty of speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on May 3.
He was caught on August 28 doing 42mph on B4267 Lavernock Road in Penarth where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £440 and banned from driving for six months. He also had to pay £44 surcharge and £90 costs.
Fahmi Abdulnaser Alsabri, 29, of Ninian Park Road, Riverside, was found guilty of speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on May 10.
He was caught on November 5 doing 35mph on Cardiff Road in Dinas Powys where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Jamie Robert Graham, 37, of Ardwyn Walk, Dinas Powys, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on May 12.
He was caught on October 25 doing 42mph on A470 Merthyr Road in Whitchurch where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £446 and given four points on his licence. He also had to pay £44 surcharge and £90 costs.
Ryan Mathew Adams, 32, of Worrells Place, Caerau, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on May 11.
He was caught on January 22 doing 55mph on Westbourne Road in Penarth where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £350 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
