A TOURING theatre company is coming to Penarth – for one night only.
Riding Lights Theatre Company, which was founded in York but aims to get theatre everywhere, is bringing their latest play My Place to Penarth on June 22.
The story focuses on four young people with no place to call home:
- An individual child;
- A pair of siblings;
- An unaccompanied child refugee.
Synopsis
A young girl hitchhikes through the night. A brother and sister fight to stay together. A teenager risks his life on a perilous sea crossing.
Bounced between social workers and different homes, can they find somewhere to be themselves?
The journeys of these lively, resourceful children unfolds through story and song in My Place.
The play is suitable for adults and secondary school aged children and is an ideal opportunity to learn more about fostering and adoption and how to support families that foster and adapt
