A PENARTH author is launching their debut novel at renowned independent bookshop Griffin Books.
Sophie Buchaillard will be celebrating the launch of her new book This Is Not Who We Are at Griffin Books on Wednesday, June 15.
Born in Paris, Ms Buchaillard has lived in in Bordeaux, Salamanca, Merrill and London before moving to Wales in 2001.
She has had short stories and essay published in Wales Arts Review, The Friday Poem, Murmurations Magazine, the Other Side of Hope and Square Wheel Press.
Her novel This Is Not Who We Are focuses on a French girl (Iris) growing up in Paris and a Rwandan refugee (Victoria) living in Goma, Zaïre.
The story follows the friendship of the two women over decades.
The event will take place at Penarth Pier Pavillion on Wednesday, June 15 at 7.30pm.
