RENOWNED Penarth bookshop Griffin Books will be the hosts for actress Ruth Jones' new book.

Ms Jones, star and co-writer for BBC hit Gavin and Stacey, has written her third novel, Love Untold.

Griffin Books will be hosting the UK launch event for the book which includes Ms Jones being interviewed by her friend and fellow actress Suzanne Packer.

Ms Jones' first book, Never Greener, sold more than a quarter of a million copies.

It was chosen as WHSmith Fiction Book of the Year 2018, was a Zoe Ball Book Club pick, and was a Sunday Times bestseller for 15 weeks with three weeks at number one.

Her second book, Us Three, was a Sunday Times bestseller in hardback and paperback.

Love Untold is a story about mother and daughters and the things left unsaid.

It tells the story of a woman about to turn 90 years old who desperately wants to heal a family rift.

Involving four generations of women from a single family, the book has been described as a "joy-filled, life-affirming, sob-inducing novel" by Griffin Books.

The launch will take place on Tuesday, September 27 at 7.30pm at a as-of-yet undisclosed Cardiff venue.

Tickets cost £25 and includes a signed hardback copy of Love Untold.
