SPOOKY season is here, with little ghosts and ghouls looking forward to the big day on October 31.
Whether you’ll be celebrating with a party, trick or treating, or watching fang-tastic films it wouldn’t be Hallowe’en without pumpkin carving.
There are some spooktacular options for people looking to get a pumpkin Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
Greenland Farm, Bonvilston:
Greenland Farm, which is in Bonvilston near the A48, is welcoming pumpkin pickers throughout October with more than 20 varieties of the spooky fruit available.
A new Hallowe’en trail has been launched at the farm including spooky bales and photo opportunities. Visitors can grab a wheelbarrow and explore the trail while searching for their perfect pumpkin.
There will also be the option of twilight pumpkin picking, with the field to be lit as the sun sets so visitors can search under the stars.
Visitors can indulge in mint hot chocolates and other treats, with hot food served by JOL’s.

Pumpkin picking patch, St Nicholas:
People can take part in pumpkin picking and crafts at the 10-acre site of living pumpkins at St Nicholas, which has 20 varieties on offer.
Pumpkins will start at £1 and are measured by size. Visitors are asked to wear suitable footwear and clothing – ensuring they can stay warm and dry – and to bring a box to take their produce home. If weather conditions make the area unsafe it will be closed.
Light refreshments and hot drinks will be available, along with portaloos, and parking is free.

Penllyn Estate Farm, Cowbridge:
For the third year in a row Forage Farm shop and kitchen is presenting pick your own pumpkin (PYOP) on Penllyn Estate Farm.
There will be a variety of family friendly activities including access to whacky pumpkin patches, tractor rides, maize maze, piglets and alpacas, splatting villains with pumpkin catapults, and face painting.
There will be daytime and twilight slots available, with food and drink available on site.
