INDEPENDENT bookshop Griffin Books is once again welcoming an author to Penarth.
Jane Fraser is a fiction writer based in the Gower Peninsula.
Her debut novel, Advent, won the 2022 Society of Authors’ Paul Torday Memorial Prize.
Ms Fraser's new release, Connective Tissue, is her second short fiction collection.
Connective Tissue aims to give voice to those struggling to make sense of what life throws at them.
Stories include people who travel in a continuous loop on London’s underground, a widow finding comfort in an osteopath’s consulting room, and a strange creature falling to earth.
The stories in the collection are tragic and comi-tragic, but all explore the depth and complexity of humanity.
The event will take place at the Turner House Gallery on Thursday, October 20 at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £7.50 and can be bought online here, by calling 02920 706455 or by emailing info@griffinbooks.co.uk.
