AN INDEPENDENT bookshop is hosting a spooktacular event ahead of Hallow'een.
Griffin Books, in Windsor Arcade in Penarth, will host authors Carly Reagon and Elaine Canning who will be chatting to fellow writer and publisher Rebecca F. John about their spooky debut novels.
This event will take place at the Penarth Pier Pavilion on Wednesday, October 26, from 7.30pm.
Who is Carly Reagon?
Carly Reagon is a senior lecturer at Cardiff University. Her writing is inspired by her love of the Welsh countryside where she lives with her husband and three children.
She will be talking about her superbly chilling first novel The Toll House - a terrifying, unique ghost story for fans of The Haunting of Hill House and author Susan Hill.
Who is Elaine Canning?
Originally from Belfast, Elaine Canning is a public engagement specialist and writer living in Swansea. She is currently Head of Special Projects at Swansea University, which include the Rhys Davies National Short Story Competition and the prestigious Dylan Thomas Prize.
Elaine’s debut novel, The Sandstone City, is a story about the choices we make, the choices denied to us, and how we navigate what’s left.
