TWO teenagers have added Welsh full contact fighting titles to their successful year.
13-year-old Evan Kennedy and 14-year-old Ruby Hooper earned titles when they both competed in the Sonada Welsh competition in Kyokushin Karate full contact fighting.
Both train out of WKK Penarth under Lee Costa based in Penarth Leisure Centre.
The week before the full contact fighting championship both were invited to compete in the prestigious BKK British championships in Crawley; Evan coming away an under 14 champion and Ruby under 16 with a bronze.
This year has been extremely successful after a long lay off from competitions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In February they both won gold, British titles in the Kyokushin cup in Glasgow, followed by wins in the Birmingham open.
