A SCHOOL in Penarth recently weclomed Vaughan Gething MS for a visit.
The minister for the economy was at Fairfield School, on the town's Dryden Road, observing a special project the school are working on.

The group explained how they have worked with Sustrans Cymru to encourage walking or cycling to school, along with help to fix bikes and scooters.
An important part of their involvement was creating new designs for local roads to keep children safe on their journey to and from school, supporting the development of the Community Street Design Project.

A spokesperson from the school who was at the visit, said the school hoped Mr Gething would return to see the results.
"The children were said to be very excited to see all their hard work put into practice, with work on Dryden Road beginning soon," said the school. "Now they hope Mr Gething will visit again to see their designs in practice!"
