A family run Penarth restaurant has appeared on a BBC cooking show.
Georgia Sommerin, chef at Home Eat Penarth, battled against other top British chefs on The Great British Menu last night. The show continues tonight with the final on Thursday, February 16.
The chefs compete against each other for the chance to cook one course of a four-course banquet.

Georgia said: “The show contacted me; it was amazing to get chosen.
“It was a really good experience but it was stressful being in front of the cameras.
“We have to cook dishes in a certain time frame and also come up with our own menus.
“The theme was illustrations and animations for Paddington’s 65 birthday.”
Georgia also appeared on the show in 2020 but was the first person to get knocked out.

Located at Located at 1 Royal Buildings Penarth, Georgia and her dad James Sommerin are the restaurants chefs.
In a true family run affair Georgia’s mum Lou is the restaurants business partner.
Georgia said: “We opened 18 months ago; the team is very small, and family driven.
“It’s great working with family and we don’t argue.”
The Great British Menu returns tonight at 8pm on BBC Two.
