EASTER is being celebrated a little differently in Penarth this year.
The town’s business group has come up with a fun way for the town’s people and businesses to take part in its ‘Easter Bunny Shop Hop’.
The Easter Bunny Shop Hop takes place April 1 to April 8, and provides a unique and fun way to explore the town while also indulging in delicious chocolates.
The event involves participants visiting different shops and stores throughout the town to collect chocolate treats that are given out at the end of the shop hop.
Follow the trail map through Penarth town to find clues to help you complete the secret phrase.
Once you've completed your tour through Penarth, you'll arrive at the last stop, where a deliciously delightful surprise awaits you - a golden ticket to claim your very own scrumptious chocolate treat.
Purchase your map online (https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/shoplocalpenarth) and collect from Willmore's 1938 on the Clifftops, or purchase using cash.
Chair of the business group, John Davies, said the event was a way to support local while also celebrating Easter.
“This event is a great way to celebrate the Easter holiday and also support the local economy,” said Mr Davies.
“The activity not only allows people to discover new shops and businesses, but also promotes community engagement by encouraging people to interact with local shop owners.”

Mr Davies described Penarth’s unique charm and said the event would compliment the town perfectly.
“Penarth offers a quaint and charming backdrop to celebrate the Easter season,” said Mr Davies. “With its Victorian architecture and stunning views of the sea, it’s the perfect place to spend a spring day.
“The town has a strong sense of community, with many independent shops and cafés to explore.
