THERE can be an intake of breath when people hear a charity shop is moving into the high street, however Penarth’s latest charity store is pretty snazzy…
We had a walk round inside the new store, which opened on Glebe Street on July 22, and were quietly impressed.
On offer were a wide range of clothes including denim and sleek tops. For men there are t-shirts, polo shirts, trousers and blazers.
There’s a range of mens’ and womens’ shoes on offer, including smart formal designs perfect for the office.
There’s even a couple of mannequins which will model the latest in 'thrifting design sheek'.

The store also offers a crockery and utensils section – think John Lewis kitchen section, but on a smaller scale…
And there’s a toys and games area with an array of board games on offer.
What do you think about the new charity shop? What do you think about charity shops in general? A blessing in these difficult financial times, or a blot on the high street? Let us know at harry.jamshidian@newsquest.co.uk.
