TWO well-known celebrity guests will visit Penarth this autumn to promote their books in events organised by Griffin Books.
One of the UK’s most loved television personalities Davina McCall, and former royal chef Rick Stein will visit the town in October to promote their new books.
Ms McCall is the first guest to visit on Thursday, October 19, in a sell-out event at Stanwell School, the Long Lost Family presenter will be promoting her new book Menopausing written with Dr Naomi Potter.
Dr Potter specialises in menopause care and treatments, after 16 years as a GP for the NHS.
Dr Potter and Ms McCall will be chatting to Julie Cornish, a consultant colorectal surgeon and founder of the Everywoman Festival about their award-winning book to mark menopause awareness month in October.

The book covers everything related to menopause, including personal stories from real women dealing with issues such as lack of sex drive, vaginal dryness, hot flashes, and hair loss. It offers valuable advice for those going through this change.
Menopausing was released on Thursday, September 15, 2022, and was crowned book of the year at the British Books Awards 2023.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, October 31, celebrity chef Rick Stein will be visiting The Paget Room to chat about his new cookbook released on October 26, 2023.
Mr Stein has cooked for notable political figures and dignitaries such as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher, French President Jacques Chirac, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Throughout his career, he has written more than 25 cookbooks, and a memoir, and produced more than 30 shows - which include 12 cookery series.
A visit to Penarth is scheduled for him to discuss his book, Simple Suppers which offers simple and easy ideas for weekday dinners and relaxed gatherings with friends.
Both Menopausing and Simple Suppers are on sale at Griffin Books for £22 and £28, with tickets for both events sold out.
