PENARTH (and Cardiff) have earned recognition at Oceanic Events’ Welsh Restaurant Awards.
The winners of Oceanic Events’ fourth Welsh Restaurant Awards have been announced – following a public vote, venues were shortlisted in various categories before the winners were announced.
Unsurprisingly, Home in Penarth won ‘diner of the year’ while Diablo’s SA1 Swansea was highly commended in this category.
Home by James Sommerin is a Michelin Star restaurant based in the Royal Buildings in Penarth. It is run by Mr Sommerin and his family. It offers a ‘surprise’ menu with options for four or eight courses which are based on the seasons and produce.
The venue also offers cookery demonstrations, with 2024 bookings now open, and is cited as one of the reasons the Vale of Glamorgan is becoming a ‘stay and dine’ destination.
