A BRASS band and members of the public were singing festive Christmas hymns in the centre of Penarth.
As we were walking round the town centre on the evening of December 12, festive tunes floated through the windy streets, so we pursued!
What we found? A group of singers singing in the street accompanied by a five piece band.
The impromptu performance was put on by 'Churches Together', with local churches from the area coming together to have a sing song and spread some festive cheer.
Classics were played such as 'Hark the Herald' on the corner of Glebe Street and Windsor Road.

Penarth has had an eventful Christmas with the town's Christmas lights switched on by none other than BBC weatherman and endurance drummer Owain Wyn Evans.
And tomorrow, Thursday, December 14, the town will be transformed into a winter wonderland, with many independent businesses opening late for the ‘Christmas in Penarth’ spectacular.
It will be the perfect opportunity to pick up some stunning gifts, take advantage of special offers, enjoy some live music, and who knows… even meet the big man himself (Santa!)
You can also take part in two town-wide Christmas Trails from now until Monday, December 18, offering the chance to win shopping vouchers with Penarth’s fabulous independent shops.
