There was live music, drinks and stalls along with the famous pizzas.

Normally, a Christmas market means going out in the December cold and fighting to huddle under the stall tarpaulins in the wind and rain – not at Villa Napoli.

It was all very civilised with decorations, festive music and even a nice cosy fire going.

Stalls in the festival sold items including plants, artwork, jewellery, and vodka made out of recovered coffee beans (delicious!)

Penarth Christmas lights switch on success and brass bands in the streets

Penarth has had an eventful Christmas so far.

The town's Christmas lights were switched on by none other than BBC weatherman and endurance drummer Owain Wyn Evans.

On December 12, churches in the area came together to provide a brass band and singers singing hymns in the street in a lovely festive touch.

And on December 14, Penarth businesses came together to hold a Christmas festival in the street.
