WE ARE just days away from ringing in the second New Year’s Eve since COVID restrictions were lifted two years ago.
Last year was the first year with no restrictions on the number of people who could gather in one place.
This year looks to be bigger and better than last year, so we look at nightclubs and bars across the Vale of Glamorgan which are throwing big parties to celebrate the end of 2023.
Sorya’s cocktails and desserts – Barry
This cocktail bar on Holton Road is hosting a New Year's Eve Party from 7pm - and children are welcome.
There will be cocktails and desserts at great prices, and there will be a happy hour on all cocktails.
Children's tickets are also available to purchase for the event.
Penarth Conservative Club – Penarth
This conservative club is hosting a New Year’s Eve party with a band called Pix N Stix at 7.30pm on December 31.
Tickets for the event are priced at £5 with a bring-your-own food policy.
Penarth Ex-servicemen Club and Institute – Penarth
The club is hosting a New Year's Eve Ska and Soul Party on December 31 at 8pm, with entry priced at £5.
The night will see DJs Steve Kaged and Matthew Morgan bring in a mix of ska, reggae, soul, motown, disco and Northern.
Cwm Talwg – Barry
The Cwm Talwg in Barry will be hosting their New Year’s Eve party extravaganza on December 31 at 7pm.
There will be entertainment from Mark Sheppard plus a guest.
Barry Island Sport and Social Club – Barry
The social club will be having a Mama D’s rock and roll New Year’s Eve party at 8pm on December 31.
Tickets are priced at £12, with Dave Wickenden, ex-West-End Buddy Holly Tribute act will get the party started, followed by the fantastic five-piece Rock n Roll band Rockin' 58.
