HOLM House Hotel has made the shocking announcement it is closing.
In a heartfelt post on the hotel's Instagram, general manager Dan Jones said after surviving Covid the hotel could not survive the cost of living crisis.
Mr Jones said the hotel would continue to operate until the end of March.
On their Instagram, Holm Hotel said: "All good things must come to an end.
"It is with heavy heart that today we announce the closure of our beloved Holm House.
"Following two decades of trading we have tried our best to navigate through the post-Covid era, only to be hit by another storm, the cost of living crisis.
"The business has not been profitable since the pandemic and we ultimately support the owners decision.
"We are committed to handling the shock closure effectively and our incredible team, customers and suppliers will all be taken care of.
"We will be operating business as usual up until March 31 with no cuts to our renowned high quality offering or the first class service standards that we have become renowned for.
"We urge you to make final lasting memories at our landmark property before our doors close for good."
A popular wedding venue, Mr Jones made an urgent call to couples set to tie the knot in 2024, saying if Holm has not managed to contact you, please reach out to them.
The statement continued: "We have tried to personally contact all wedding couples set to tie the knot in 2024 today, if we have failed to connect with you please contact us asap via the usual email address or telephone number to discuss your options."
Mr Jones finished by thanking all involved with Holm.
"We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of our loyal customers and suppliers who have supported Holm House over the years.
"We are heartfelt sorry for the disruption we've caused to our wedding couples and customers who have scheduled celebrations at Holm House after the closure date.
"All customers who have scheduled future bookings or are bearers of gift vouchers please visit our website and download the FAQ's which will be published over the coming days to clarify our closure policies, meanwhile please bear with us.
"My team and I are still digesting this hard news and we trust that the general public will be understanding and respectful during this tough time.
"We hope to welcome you for lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, a spa treatment or overnight stay this Feb/March so we can say goodbye in style."
