A wilderness author will be coming to Penarth to share his journey and latest work.
Christian Lewis, renowned for book Finding Hildsay, will return to Griffin Books for the second time this Easter Monday.
In 2017, after a rough patch in his life where he hit rock bottom, Chris began walking the entire UK coastline, starting and ending his journey at Llangennith Beach, Gower Peninsula.
He didn't realise how long it would take to complete, and and unforeseen three-month stay on the deserted island of Hildasay stalled his travels due to the covid-19 lockdown. This, however, paved the way for life-altering encounters, including meeting his partner Kate.
Fast forward to 2024, his new book Hildasay to Home recounts his return to Swansea, total funds raised nearing half a million pounds, and reflects heartwarmingly on the wisdom acquired and the family built along the journey.
The event at Griffin Books will take place on April 1, running from 2pm to 4pm, where attendees can get their copies of Hildasay to Home signed by its author.
It's noted that the event is ticketed due to time limitations, and early booking is advised through the Griffin Books website.
