PENARTH Lawn Tennis Club’s Music and Food Festival has completely sold out, organisers say.
The annual festival, which takes place on Saturday, May 25, has become one of the highlights of the town’s social calendar and features five bands and a range of international street foods.
A club spokesperson said: “We sell out every year at least a week before the event.
“This year is no exception. People have such a good time they want to make sure they get tickets to come back again.”
He added: “There are absolutely no tickets available on the gate. If you haven’t got a ticket already I’m afraid you won’t get in.
“But if you do have a ticket we look forward to seeing you for a brilliant afternoon of entertainment."
This year’s headliners are the sensational 7-piece Welsh covers band Rock The Mike who will be playing a wide range of floor fillers.
They’re supported by Penarth R&B band Smokey Smuthers and the Mellow Fellows, Welsh rockabilly band, The John Lewis Trio, the all-woman singing sensations, Three O’Clock Club and Neil Diamond tribute act Jeff Diamond.
Food vendors include traditional favourites like burgers and pizzas as well as more exotic cuisine from Malaysia, Mexico and southern India.
There are also licensed bars across the site, and a charity stall raising funds for the club charity, the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Doors open at 1230 with the first act on stage at 1300. The event finishes at 8pm.
