THREE people were rescued and taken to a nearby sailing club after their fishing boat had broken down.
The RNLI in Penarth were called out after receiving reports of a broken down fishing boat near the mouth of the River Rhymney.
A spokesperson for the RNLI Penarth Lifeboat Station said via social media, that "three people were taken into the Rhymney River Sailing Club by the Atlantic 85."
The Atlantic 85 then returned to get ready for service.

Dramatic photos show the famous Wales Air Ambulance laned on the slipway of Penarth RNLI station.
Penarth RNLI, South Wales Police, Welsh Air Ambulance and the coastguard all assisted in recovering a person from the water.
