10 Caynham Avenue

The construction of a single-storey extension to the back of the existing dwelling has been approved. Ecological enhancement must include installation of swift, house sparrow and starling bird boxes and planting of a native species tree.

The green light was given to rebuild the kitchen and cloakroom, add an entrance hallway and garage to the side of the property and add two bedrooms on the second storey. In accordance with approved details, the residents are required to plant native wildflower and hedgerow at the top of the rear garden and in the grass.

33 Clos Cradog

A retrospective planning application for 33 Clos Cradog was approved for post-completion of an aluminium framed greenhouse located within the rear garden. It was built on May 15, 2023.

19 John Street

A non-material amendment was approved which includes an additional window in the proposed first-floor bathroom. The original application also included relocation of the main entrance to provide a level access from John Street and demolition of rear rooms and garage.

14 Marine Parade

An application for the replacement of timber-framed windows with plastic-framed alternatives on a Grade II listed building at 14 Marine Parade was withdrawn.

26 Plymouth Road

Alterations were approved which included external changes to the rear of the property, such as replacing a kitchen window with a sliding door and the replacement of conservatory windows/door with a bifold door. It also includes replacing the existing plastic roof with a glass roof and increasing the size of the rear bedroom window on the second floor. The approval comes with the biodiversity enhancement condition of installing a bird box.
