A CRASH labelled a 'serious crash' by a police force in South Wales saw the road closed in both directions for hours, with minor injuries reported.
A section of Fontygary Road in Rhoose, was closed to motorists at approximately 11.43am due to what police described as a "serious collision."
A spokesperson for South Wales Police, wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter): "RTC/Closure We are at the scene of a serious collision on Fontygary road, Rhoose."
The road was closed in both directions between Fontygary road and Fonmon road, and Fontygary road and Port road.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes, due to the incident.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police later said the following: "South Wales Police were called shortly after 10:30 am today (Thursday August 15) to Fontygary Road in Rhoose to a collision between two cars.
"Minor injuries have been reported and the road re-opened around 1:20pm.”
