On its website the promo for the festival reads:

‘Close the summer with us and be a part of a special event of community, connection, expression and celebration, set in the picturesque backdrop of the beautiful grounds of The Kymin, Penarth.’

‘We are pleased to bring a unique offering to reconnect to your senses, ground you in the present and come together with friends old and new.’

So, how did The Gathering pull this off?

Event organisers Grant Zehetmayr and James Richardson said that the festival did this with yoga, meditation, sound healing, breath work, a sauna, a silent disco, an outdoor cinema, and a fire walk!

Dawnstalkers Co-Founder, Grant Zehetmayr said: "The Dawnstalkers is about bringing people together, and what we really want to do with this three-day gathering is show what’s possible when small individual contributions combine to create something awesome for the community. It’ll be fantastic for the Kymin, for the seafront, and for Penarth!"

The festival took place September 6th-8th   it’s estimated around 500 people attended.

Grant Zehetmayr said: “It’s been an ongoing pipe dream to create a festival we’ve curated a number of 1 day wellbeing festivals in Barry, so this was kind of the next evolution of that trying to do something on Penarth Seafront effectively in a space that’s part of the community.”

“For what we were able to achieve and what people experienced it was incredibly successful and it’s ticked a lot of boxes in terms of what we set out to achieve. So, we’re up for this again. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The fire walk was on Saturday night -I think it was the most hotly anticipated event.”
