A COFFEE bar in Penarth has received top marks in its latest food hygiene inspection.
Aroma Coffee Bar, located at the University Hospital Llandough on Penlan Road in Penarth, received a score of '5 - Very Good' in its most recent report.
On September 5, 2024, an inspector from the Food Standards Agency visited the establishment and found the standards to be 'Good' across the board.
The café received scores of 'Good' for the staff's hygienic handling of food, which includes the preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage of food.
Inspectors found the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control, and the management of food safety, including evidence that staff know about food safety, to be of a 'Good' standard.
