There is always something going on in Penarth and the surrounding areas.

This week, we're highlighting four events taking place, including three live music performances and a storytelling morning.

Robin Ince and Clare Ferguson-Walker

Acclaimed poet and comedienne Clare Ferguson-Walker and BBC Radio 4 regular Robin Ince are ready to deliver a mixture of comedy and spoken word at the Paget Rooms on the evening of September 19.

This performance is a key milestone in their careers as it marks their maiden tour together across 14 locations in the UK, with notable stopovers at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall, Bath's Komedia and Brewery Arts in Kendal.

Ms Ferguson-Walker will be bringing her newest collection of poems, Chrysalis to the tour. The collection exposes her inner thoughts and observations of humanity.

The audience can also look forward to her show "Hare Brained", a fusion of spoken word, rib-tickling comedy and lively ideas, all while donning a shimmering dress.

Mr Ince, an esteemed comedian, will accompany her performance.

He is recognised for the BBC Radio 4 podcast series The Infinite Monkey Cage with Brian Cox.

As part of the tour, Mr Ince reveals his freshly published book "Normally Weird And Weirdly Normal: My Adventures in Neurodiversity", an amalgamation of poetry, storytelling and jocularity for the audience.

Penarth Operatic and Dramatic Society celebrates 100 years of musical theatre
