It will be a mixed end to the week in Penarth as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain but also predicts some sunny spells.
The warning is for Thursday, September 26, and Friday, September 27, from 5pm on Thursday until 10am on Friday.
The Met Office said: "There is some uncertainty in the details, but some locations may see up to 20-30 mm of rain in two-three hours and perhaps 40-60 mm in four-six hours."
Thursday is set to be a mixed day, with the occasional shower in the morning but mostly sunny intervals.
The rain is expected to start around 2pm, getting heavier as the weather warning kicks in from 5pm.
The heavy rain is set to stay for the evening and into the early hours of the morning on Friday.
