Penarth is facing a mixed bag with the weather forecast for the rest of the week, with thunderstorms, sun and rain predicted.
According to the Met Office, Thursday, October 3, is expected to offer the best weather.
The morning will be sunny with temperatures around 15 degrees before it clouds over a bit and the forecast changes to sunny intervals starting from 2pm.
On Friday, October 4, temperatures will remain around 15 degrees, but the day will see some sunny intervals sprinkled throughout.
However, the wind is predicted to pick up, gusting up to 26mph, a jump from Thursday's high of 21mph.
The real change is set for Saturday, October 5.
Sunny intervals in the morning will give way to rain by 1pm, with the precipitation continuing into the evening.
Temperatures are expected to dip slightly to 14 degrees, and wind speeds will ramp up, reaching gusts of 37mph.
Sunday, October 6 will bring temporary respite, with the rain predicted to stop around 7am and sunny intervals expected throughout the day.
However, showers are forecast around 1pm.
The day is set to be warmer with highs around 16 degrees, and winds will slow down slightly to around 28mph.
The new week starts on a damp note on Monday, October 7.
Showers from 7am will culminate in thunderstorms around 1pm.
At 15 degrees and wind speeds of approximately 27mph, residents should prepare for a wet and blustery day.
