THIS year’s Bonfire Night celebrations will be held at the Penarth Lawn Tennis Club on November 1.
Over 1,000 Penarthians will enjoy fireworks and a bonfire, along with food and sweet stalls and the club bar.
The family event will see The Welsh Italian Pizza Company back at the club serving loaded nachos, toasties and hot dogs as well as Pizza.
There will also be a hog roast courtesy of Lushy’s, and a hot drinks stall. The PLTC bar and sweet stall will be open as usual.
The gates will open at 5.30pm with the fireworks at around 7.30pm and the bonfire will be lit after the fireworks show.
Tickets be made available for non-members to book from October 10.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £6 for under-16s. Children aged three or under are free – but need to register for a ticket.
The club, which has already raised thousands of pounds for its charity the Motor Neurone Disease Association, aims to add to the total with a mulled wine and warm cider stall.
The organizer Al Cozens said: "Most of the tickets have already been sold to our 600 members but we have some left so members of the public can enjoy the event.
“It’s always a brilliant event where the community comes together to enjoy the bonfire, tonfire he fireworks and the rest of the entertainment.”
