There were two planning applications for the Penarth area submitted to the Vale of Glamorgan Council in the last week.
Here are the applications submitted between October 14 and October 20.
Tree work
An application has been submitted for tree work in a conservation area at 22 Victoria Road, Penarth.
The proposed work includes a slight cutback of a yew tree as it is touching the property, a crown lift to two metres, and the removal of the laurel under-storey.
Four Lawson's cypress trees are to be reduced in height by two to three metres.
An ash tree with early stages of ash dieback, causing damage to the boundary wall, is to be removed, and the stump treated to prevent regrowth.
Various changes to plans
An application has been submitted for various changes of use across each of the four floors of a currently vacant site at 1, Station Approach, Penarth.
Changes would be mainly to Sui Generis, with some superficial changes to signage and the addition of an awning.
The site currently has B1 on the first and second floors, part retail and D1 on the ground floor, and basement B2.
The development could see around 10 full-time employees if approved.
