There's always something going on in Penarth.
Here we bring you some of the events taking place in the town this weekend.
Cake and book sale
The Friends of Penarth Library are inviting residents to their cake and book sale, which will take place on Saturday, October 26 from 10am to 12.30pm.
The event, free to attend, will be held at Penarth Library on Stanwell Road, with proceeds going towards supporting the library.
Super Blue Moon
Penarth's The Albion will host Bristol-based rock trio, Super Blue Moon, on Saturday, October 26.
The 70s inspired band, which fills the void between indie and classic rock, is fronted by Darren McGrath and Ben Balsom.
The two have promised a unique yet classic musical experience, with a set comprising original songs and covers.
Super Blue Moon's music takes listeners on a journey through elation, heartache, and nostalgia, with fans of Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Kurt Vile, Neil Young, and Dire Straits likely to appreciate their sound.
In addition to their unique style, the band brings a wealth of experience.
Darren McGrath, a previous tenor in the Sheffield Philharmonic Choir, has performed more than 1,000 shows at sea and toured the world with stadium shaker 'LP'.
Ben Balsom, on the other hand, has played hundreds of shows across the UK over the last ten years, sharing the stage with American singer-songwriter Sarah Jarosz, playing at the Beautiful Days Festival, and opening for the Psychedelic Warlords on their Captain Lockheed UK tour.
Christmas arts and crafts market
The Christmas arts and crafts market will be held at Penarth Pier Pavilion on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27 between 10am and 4pm.
The market, with free entry, will feature more than 32 artists and crafters from the area displaying unique original handmade gifts.
From original paintings, glass, wood, ceramics, jewellery, and textiles to resin, candles, and more, the market offers the perfect opportunity to start Christmas shopping early.
Organisers have promised a 'lovely day out at the idyllic Penarth Pier', with the chance to meet the artists behind the handmade gifts.
